Guard
Your State
Lifeguard
Requirements
Congratulations on your decision to become a Professional Lifeguard
for Guard Your State with AquaSafe!
In order for you to be able to successfully complete our lifeguard certification training and become a member of our elite team, you will need to meet the following requirements:
1. The Right Attitude and Mindset
We all have a choice. We can choose an inner dialogue of self-encouragement and self-motivation, or we can choose one of a self-defeat and self-pity. It’s a power we all have. Each of us encounters hard times, hurt feelings and physical and emotional pain. The key is to realize it’s not what happens to you that matters; it’s how you choose to respond.
The best way to measure your progress at something is the number of setbacks and “failures” you’ve had. If you haven’t failed yet, chances are you aren’t trying very hard. Failure is the blacksmith’s hammer that tempers the sword of success. If you look at all the great men and women throughout history, you’ll notice that they had one main thing in common. They failed, and they failed often. Think of Thomas Edison. How many times did he fail to find the right filament for his light bulb? Or Henry Ford? He failed so many times, but he knew that failure is the opportunity to begin again, more intelligently. Clearly, failure represents opportunity and growth, not deficit and loss. You just can’t give up.
So join us to celebrate each morning. Rise and shine! The world is ours and absolutely nothing can stop us.
2. Healthy Life Style
In order for us to succeed, be happy and healthy, we need to make sure that our body and mind are well taken care of. Regular exercise, relaxation and healthy diet are all important. Making just a few changes in your lifestyle could go a long way. And remember, having a healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body. Live healthy, live longer!

4. Commitment
A primary key to knowing we are committed is when we are willing to make sacrifice in order to achieve our goals. Consider the young athlete willing to practice and train countless hours every day, or anyone in the armed forces who literally sacrifice their life for the greater good. Commitment through sacrifice also relates to the concept of loyalty. Do we stand by our commitment even though it will cause interruptions in other areas of life? If we are willing to give-up the convenient and comfortable options to take a more challenging path, there is a good chance we are committed to this mission. Commitment is what transforms a promise into reality. Keep going and most importantly remember why you started.
5. Purpose
To have commitment we must understand and share the purpose behind the mission we are pursuing. Our team is passionate about saving people’s lives and persistently creating better ways of doing what we do. We strive to bring out the best in every team member personally and professionally while instilling core values that will help them in whatever endeavors they choose to pursue. As a dedicated team member, you will Guard Your State.
6. Dedication
Dedication and hard work are the key to success. If we as individuals do not work hard to succeed, then we do not receive the same satisfaction as we would if we put in hour upon hour or even year upon year of work to achieve our goals. We believe for one to be successful, he/she must be willing to work hard to succeed in any aspect of life.
